Patti is a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Covington, TN and has just recently taken the role of clergy spouse when her husband James was ordained in January. She is an active participant of the Grace-St. Luke's More Than A Meal program. She and James have six grown children.

A registered nurse, Patti works at the Church Health Center in Memphis, TN, which provides integrated health services for the working poor. She is the Compliance Coordinator, Acute Care Triage Nurse and Supervisor to 19 staff members that serve as Clinic Assistants - these young people are working toward Medical School, Nursing School or some other health care profession.

Patti writes, "I am amazed constantly about how much I am learning in my work at the Church Health Center... I encounter the Risen Christ at least once each day whether I am paying attention or not... I see Love glistening in the patients' eyes".
