Elizabeth Dowell is the youth minister at Hope Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas, a unique multicultural community committed to sharing God’s transforming love.  She is married to a wonderful man she met at a youth event as a teenager and has a wonderful daughter named Veronica.

Elizabeth loves working with young people and providing them with a safe, fun, loving environment where they can learn about God and His will for their lives.   She writes,

“I find it very difficult to feed myself spiritually sometimes because working with teens is so involving. Even though I am working part-time so I can spend time just being a mom, I find it hard to find time for myself between answering phone calls and text messages, youth events, staff meetings, cleaning the house, and taking care of Veronica.  But this community really keeps me grounded.  The prayer discipline keeps me in relationship with God and helps to give me a few minutes of peace and quiet every day.”
