Cathy+, CRC
Cathy, a co-foundress of the Rivendell Community, is resident at the Motherhouse. She serves as Vicar of St. Alban's, an example of the Rivendell Plan.
Cathy is mother of five adopted children, and a grandmother. She worked for a number of years as a Hospice nurse.
She writes, "I am reluctant to sing the praises of St. Alban's too loudly, but it is an amazing little place, generous beyond its numbers--both in money and in active participation in outreach, education, worship and hilarious fellowship; they are friendly to visitors and welcoming to new people. Unlike many congregations, there is essentially no dissention over the actions of the Episcopal Church, and very little divisiveness, even where differences of opinion exist... Without either the financial subsidy or the Community's contributions in time and energy, wisdom and enthusiasm, it would not be possible for me to accomplish what we have actually done there."
